AKR – True RMS Split Core Current Transformers
The AKR Series split‑core current transformers are engineered for applications requiring True RMS measurement of AC currents, ensuring accurate monitoring even in the presence of distorted waveforms. Designed for currents ranging from 2 A to 2000 A, selectable by jumper, AKR sensors provide galvanic isolation and are mainly intended for panel mounting, with optional DIN‑rail integration.
Utilizing air‑core technology, AKR current transducers are available in both split‑core and solid‑core versions. Unlike the AK Series, AKR devices are exclusively offered with current output, emphasizing precision and signal integrity.
Selected models, such as the AKR 2000 C420L J, feature a large 76 mm aperture, supporting applications with larger conductors. The AKR Series is particularly suited for renewable energy and power supply applications where accurate True RMS current measurement is essential.
